The Compound- S.A Bodeen

Eli and his family have lived in the underground Compound for six years. The world they know is gone, and they've become accustomed to their new life. Accustomed, but not happy. For Eli, no amount of luxury can stifle the dull routine of living in the same place, with only two sisters, only his father and mother, doing the same thing day after day after day. As problems with their carefully planned existence threaten to destroy their sanctuary-and their sanity-Eli can't help but wonder if he'd rather take his chances on the outside. Eli's father built the Compound to keep them safe. But are they safe-or sorry?

This book really interested me at first for the fact that it's dystopian. The beginning is kind of confusing because they don't tell you all the details about what's occurring, and how they got put in the compound. Once everything comes out-the truth-then it starts to make more sense. Eli's father had lied to him and his whole family to take them on an adventure away from the real world. They were never in any danger. He took them away from the world for 6 years. This book was very suspenseful and full of detail. I was kinda hoping there would be a sequel, even though it's impossible to have one. 5/5 stars.
